Jacqueline Fernandez grew up in Bahrain, Manama. She is Sri Lankan and comes from a multiethnic background. Her father, Elroy Fernandez is a from Sri Lanka. She has two elder brothers and two younger brothers. She was raised and born in Bahrain. Her parents had moved there in the 1980s as a result of the turmoil within Sri Lanka. Schooling was finished at Bahrain and she was awarded the Scholarship for an education at University of Sydney. There she was awarded a Media and Communications degree. The love of languages and cultures has led her to the Berlitz language school, where she mastered French and Arabic as she learned Spanish. Miss Sri Lanka 2006 was crown in March 2006; she also participated in Miss Universe 2006 After winning Miss Sri Lanka title in 2006, she took on the world of television and was the host of a show on Sri Lanka's business called Lanka Business Report. Padukone was born to tennis star Prakash Padukone. She was born in Bangalore and born in Copenhagen. In her teens she competed in badminton at national level championships but left her professional career in order to be a fashion model. Padukone comes from Mangalore and her mother language is Konkani. Padukone is a village located within the Kundapura Taluk of Karnataka's Udupi District. Prakash Padukone is her father as well as a former badminton pro of international fame. Her mother works as a travel agent.
